I love poking around foreign grocery stores. With the price of food being so high in Norway, we didn’t get to experiment as much as I would have liked to. There were many tempting things in this Lofoten grocery store in Leknes including a bunch of local cheeses that I was DYING to try, but we didn’t buy any, knowing most of it would go to waste as Marc is unable to eat cheese. The other thing I really wanted to try was the hard cider with Elderflower. I did end up buying some donuts and of course–LEFSE!!!!

As you can see, I had to buy some lefse–the kind my grandma used to make!
