I love poking around foreign grocery stores. With the price of food being so high in Norway, we didn’t get to experiment as much as I would have liked to. There were many tempting things in this Lofoten grocery store in Leknes including a bunch of local cheeses that I was DYING to try, but we didn’t buy any, knowing most of it would go to waste as Marc is unable to eat cheese. The other thing I really wanted to try was the hard cider with Elderflower. I did end up buying some donuts and of course–LEFSE!!!!
OMG Marc why can’t you eat cheese?! I could’ve lived on bread and local cheese on this trip…

The local delicacy. I was not brave enough to try it… And not sure that seeing rows and rows of these drying on racks on the Lofoten islands was the cause!
My mom would get a kick out of this… Almost $2 a packet!
