I’m pleased as punch to announce that my “Anglophile” quilt is all finished! I had it quilted by Cosmic Quilting, a local, long-arm quilting studio. Karen Miller is the owner and when I showed her the quilt she immediately thought of what I’m calling a “mod” pattern of squares and rectangles. For some reason it makes me think of Austin Powers… with the British them and the retro, mod quilting pattern. Yeah baby!
After it was quilted, the only thing left was the binding. A friend invited me to a “Crafty Day” where we crafted, ate, played games and socialized. It was a fun day and the 3 hours it took to hand sew the binding went by very quickly. The quilt was delivered to my friend and co-worker who was recently diagnosed with lymphoma. She is expected to make a full recovery–thank goodness! She let me know that she loved the quilt and I am so happy that she was happy with it.
