Day 10. Saturday. Today we left Praiano for Ravello. We were up at 8:00 AM. Anna came down at 9:00 to give us back our deposit. We took pictures together and before we left she said, “Let me give you both a kiss good-bye.” Dear, sweet lady. She was very good to us during our stay! … The SITA was supposed to be by at 9:15. It showed up at 9:35. We were able to sit. We had to transfer in Amalfi, and I didn’t know where to catch the bus to Ravello. We asked some people by the dock who were speaking English. She pointed to where we were supposed to go and said “Good Luck” with a look of pity. We’d soon realize what she meant. The buses that go to Ravello are much smaller, but there was a large number of people who wanted on. We barely made it on.

The bus wandered up to Ravello. We got off and wandered down the street where the rental office is. No one was there. We went to the bar next door and called the cell number. Someone said she’d be there in 10 min. The owner showed up and drove us to the property. It’s about a mile from the main bus stop, down a gently sloping hill. Not bad. Casa Torella is 1 story up from the street. Not nearly as nice inside as Villa Amore but the views are just as amazing. And it had a piano. It would do just fine.

We spent some time unpacking and did some laundry. Then we walked up the street to the market. Very, very small compared to Angela’s shop. We bought stuff for breakfast and items to cook dinner that night.
9/25 Sunday. Day 11. No journal entries. Today we wandered around Ravello. We walked all the way up to Villa Cimbrone and went to Vittoria Pizzeria for dinner.
