Our last day in Paris. There are only 2 things that I want to do, have falafel at “L’as du Falafel” and visit Les Jardins Luxembourg. As we have breakfast, Earl says he’d like to find an Internet cafe so that he can check his e-mail; he hasn’t been able to connect to the wi-fi at the apt. We find an Internet cafe close to the apartment. Marc and Earl have coffee there while Lisa and I browse our neighborhood. There are so many cute shops, we decide to spend our last day “taking it easy.” We decide to head to the Jardins Luxembourg, and then we’ll have lunch at L’as du Falafel. The rest of the day we’ll spend hanging out around our ‘hood.

The gardens are beautiful and there are a lot of people out and about.

We head to Le Marais district right at lunch time. We find L’as du Falafel, and there is a line. A guy comes up to us and says, “Do you want falafel?” Of course, we want falafel! Marc orders the falafel sandwich and I order their version of a gyro. Earl and Lisa also get falafel. When we get our sandwiches, I am in sandwich heaven. It is quite easily the best sandwich that I have ever eaten.

We stroll through the Marais district, trying to find a place to eat. By the time we find somewhere, our sandwiches are almost gone. Le Marais is filled with people. There are tons of cute shops, so Lisa and I decide to have some “girl time” shopping while the guys go off to do their own thing. I buy some chocolate at a “Galler” chocolate shop.

 

Later, we meet back at the apartment. Marc and Lisa are beat, but Earl and I are trying to convince them to go with us to Sacre Coeur. They decide to stay at the apartment, so Earl and I head out for some “father/daughter” time. Sacre Coeur is beautiful and of course, so worth the effort to get there. I buy a few souvenirs for family and we have an ice cream.

Then we head back to the apartment. We go out to eat and the restaurant is good, a fitting end to our last night in Paris.
